18 Year Old Car With Crash Data

CRASH DATA IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN NEW CARS......Wrong

ONLY NEW CARS HAVE CRASH DATA AND EVENT DATA RECORDERS....right?

I commonly hear customers asking about crash data, but they believe only newer cars have event data recorders fitted. That is not true. A couple of weeks ago I found an event data recorder on an 18 year old Citroen. Not only did it have an event data recorder fitted, it also contained crash data.

This is why I would always recommend customers contact me to see if the vehicle they are investigating has crash data. Most vehicles are significantly younger than the Citroen I went to look at, which shows there is hidden evidence, that even now we are still not recovering.

Driven Forensics provides a nationwide service and we can event access data from vehicles that cannot be powered up.
