How much is an MOT

How much is an MOT? The maximum price for a car (class 4) MOT is currently £54.85. Whilst some garages do charge the maximum fee, many do not.


Currently, the government do not set the MOT fee, they only prescribe the maximum fee that can be charged. Below is an extract from the Gov.Uk website which shows the most common vehicles and the maximum MOT fee that can be charged.
