SUCCESS - Kia Niro event data recorder (EDR) download
Nick - Driven Forensics • 22 March 2024

How many vehicle system foreniscs specialists can download Kia or Hyundai?

We downloaded a 2020 Kia Niro which was involved in a collision around 3 months before the data was recovered. The vehicle had been repaired and was back in regular use, so the chances of obtaining collision data from the vehicles event data recorder, seemed bleak.

Despite this, the crash data was still available. We captured the data and are in the process of analysing it to see how useful it might be.

Collision data has so many applications from countering insurance fraud to confirming the dynamics of a collision and everything in between and just because the data was not accessed straight away, it does not necessarily mean it is lost forever.

Find out how Driven Forensics can help you use the data that might already be stored in your vehicles. We will provide an honest assessment of what data might be available and how likely we are to be able to obtain it.
